Buenos Aires – Just a brief post this morning as I have to get cooking! We have another dozen folk coming this evening for round 2 of Casa SaltShaker, plus we agreed to a private dinner tomorrow night for a group of 7! Lots to do! Where did I put those boil-in-the-bag peas?
I know I’m a few days behind, but wanted to scribble a followup to my post on the James Beard Award nominations last month (which engendered a bit of commentary discussion). The winners have been announced. Amongst those I’d like to think of as friends in the industry, congrats go out to Daniel Johnnes for Outstanding Wine and Spirits Professional; William Scherer for Outstanding Wine Service; Alfred Portale for Outstanding Chef; and Mario Batali for his new cookbook Molto Italiano!
Hola Dan- I just read thru the most recent posts… now I’m starved and need Comida China in the worst way!!! I love reading about cooking and watching cooking shows but do not enjoy the act… My husband, fortunately, cooks for pleasure and is a wonderful cook. We both look forward to a Friday night at su casa!!! But right now, I need some double cooked pork… Hasta luego!
I could pack it up on mule and send it off towards Costa Rica for you, but might take a bit to get there…
