Buenos Aires – Okay, nearly every local blogger has already posted about the jacarandas being in bloom. They really do add an amazing touch to the city. Numerous folk have taken far better and more interesting pictures than I have – I think Robert Wright put out a couple of very nice displays of photos this year. Here are a couple of mine…
Of course – there’s the aftermath… as the petals begin to fall en masse, which they already are with the winds and rain we’ve been having… a sad sight, as the vibrant violet color tinges with grey, the petals curl up in their fetal positions, and they huddle together, awaiting a broom…
Dan – Your pics are good, especially the last one. Guess we’ll have to wait another year for another photo op!
I loved seeing those trees. It adds an other worldly quality to the city.
