“I get satisfaction of three kinds. One is creating something, one is being paid for it and one is the feeling that I haven’t just been sitting on my ass all afternoon.”
– William F. Buckley, Jr., Journalist
Buenos Aires – I can’t claim surprise, at least not in the end. I was a bit surprised at the beginning, checking in with the editor at Cuisine & Vins to see what the theme for the October 2007 issue was going to be… and therefore what I needed to get working on. He had two assignments – one, a column recommending restaurants based solely on their ambiance, atmosphere, see and be seen factor, and the other was to stay at home the following Tuesday morning so that a photographer could come by to take a picture of me in the midst of Casa SaltShaker. He said they wanted to write up a little note on us – I figured on a paragraph and small photo on a sort of “information about our contributors” page. So, I guess I was a bit surprised to find us a full page spread…
That’s a very nice photograph, Dan. Now, get ready for the stampede.
Congratulations ! another well-deserved accolade its also nice as an online friend who hasn’t yet had a chance to visit casa saltshaker, to see more of dan and his environs – specially the handsome and comfortable looking chairs, that are a must for any enjoyable dinner – (something a lot of places seem to forget) david
Congrats Dan! I loved the article on you and the post you were working on.
